China AIDS Survey Links Page International Organizations Chinese Organizations Association for Asian Studies: Asian Resources on the World Wide Web is a list of online resources has been compiled since July 1996 by Raymond Lum, for publication in the Asian Studies Newsletter. AIDS Education Global Information System (AEGiS) began in the mid-1980s and has continued to be the definitive web-based reference for HIV/AIDS-related information...to date has over one million files. AIDS Relief Fund for China is a public charitable organization dedicated to supporting broad-based HIV/AIDS prevention, care and treatment efforts in China. Through fundraising and effective grant making, we support individuals and organizations in China who are fighting HIV/AIDS. We stand in solidarity with global efforts to end HIV stigma and to empower people living with HIV. China AIDS Survey is an open-source, online database dedicated to the AIDS epidemic in the People’s Republic of China. China Orphans Fund (CAOF) provides the necessary resources to keep AIDS orphans in school, to give children left without the support of their parents the chance to get an education, to help orphans support themselves later in life.

communication interventions for positive
international development. HIV/AIDS Impact on Education Clearinghouse is an interactive portal dedicated to collecting and disseminating documentation on HIV/AIDS and its impact on education. It is designed as a tool for ministries, educational institutions, international agencies, consultants and other organizations to disseminate their own research and learn from the research of others. HIV/AIDS Search Engine is a dedicated search engine which has about 2,000 pages when they are combined. About 500 of these pages are translated to 25 languages and more are being added daily. International HIV/AIDS Alliance set up in 1993, the Alliance was established to respond to the need for a specialist, professional intermediary organization which would work in effective partnership with non-governmental and community-based organizations in developing countries, as well as with national governments, private and public donors and the UN system. Michael Mallaghan, PhD Project is directed towards gaining an understanding through the voices of gay men born in China, to learn what is important to them - without relaying on westernized psychological and political theories that produce models of sexuality that are presumed to be universal. Positive Art Workshop allows Chinese people living with AIDS (PLWA) to express themselves through art. Small Steps (China) fosters community awareness and facilitate development of individuals, organizations and communities through consulting, adventure and art-related projects. United Nations Development Program, South East Asia UNDP-SEAHIV Program analyses the roles of mobility systems, elaborating development strategies to mitigate the negative impact of these factors on HIV epidemics and assisting in implementing these development strategies. Many of their publications are in English and Chinese. United Nations AIDS (UNAIDS) is main advocate for global action on HIV/AIDS, UNAIDS leads, strengthens and supports an expanded response aimed at preventing the transmission of HIV, providing care and support, reducing the vulnerability of individuals and communities to HIV/AIDS, and alleviating the impact of the epidemic. [UNAIDS China] UNAIDS/WHO Global HIV/AIDS Online Database collates the most recent country-specific data on the spread and impact of the virus, together with information on risk behaviors (e.g. casual sex and condom use). Health sector response information (e.g. data on people receiving treatment and coverage of HIV counseling and testing) is also an essential part of this database. United States Embassy: Environment, Science, Technology & Health Section, China works to improve understanding and cooperation between the Chinese and U.S. governments on environment, science, technology and health issues. World AIDS Day has range of generic World AIDS Day resources addresses the need to mobilize and involve people in HIV awareness in the run up to 1st December 2004 and beyond; Safer Sex materials - specifically created to promote a safer sex message to young people - could be used prior to the Summer holidays to raise awareness in your local community; while our HIV related stigma and discrimination range has proved invaluable in tackling these key issues on a daily basis. World Bank: AIDS in partnership with others-- is working to roll back the spread of this global epidemic.
