China AIDS Survey

China AIDS Survey is an open-source, online database dedicated to the AIDS epidemic in the People¨s Republic of China.  The database contains several hundred summarized news reports from both Chinese and Western sources, AIDS related glossaries, Chinese and Western primary source documents, links to Chinese and international AIDS organizations and briefs characterizing the main issues surrounding AIDS in China.

Translation and pronunciation of over 1,300 HIV/AIDS related terms and phrases from English to Chinese (with pinyin) The glossary includes six sections: 1) General terms including common terms and medical terms; 2) Antiretrovirals (ARV) Names; 3) Medicine Names; 4) Program Terms; 5) Project and Slogan Names; and 6) Organization Names.

Current Overview of HIV/AIDS in China: This segment offers the most current information on HIV/AIDS statistics and primary modes of transmission.

HIV/AIDS Policy Issues: This page describes and analyses the primary AIDS policy issues specific to China.

Glossary: Contains translations of more than 250 AIDS related terms and phrases in English and Chinese.

Chronologies: Provides annotated summaries/abstracts spanning over two decades of open source articles relating to AIDS.

Documents and Statements: Includes original documents, reports and other primary sources from both Chinese and international sources.

SEA-AIDS eCorrespondent: Works to meet the needs and challenges of HIV/AIDS responses in the Asia-Pacific region, by providing a monthly synopsis to draw more attention to HIV/AIDS work in Asia. This section is provided by Health & Development Networks eForums Resource Team.

Links: Provides links to Chinese and international organizations that have information concerning AIDS in China.
